Section 01

Who we are

LifeRank is an Android application developed and published independently. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the developer of LifeRank. The app is available on Google Play under the package name com.liferank.app.

This privacy policy applies to the LifeRank Android application and any associated services described herein.

What data we collect — at a glance

On-device health & fitness data

LifeRank stores all personal and health-related data exclusively in a local database (SQLite via Room) on your Android device. This includes:

• — Strength workout entries (exercise, reps, weight, calculated 1RM)
• — Cardio sessions (activity type, distance, duration, pace or estimated VO₂ max)
• — Body composition entries (BMI inputs, body fat percentage, waist circumference)
• — Profile information (age, biological gender, height, weight, unit preferences)
• — Ranking scores and priority weights you have set

None of this health or fitness data is ever transmitted to us or any third party. Your personal rankings, workout history, and body metrics exist only on your device. We have no means of receiving or accessing them.

Section 04

Advertising — Google AdMob

LifeRank uses Google AdMob exclusively for rewarded ads — short video ads that you actively choose to watch in exchange for unlocking a specific insight, such as your age-adjusted percentile ranking. We never show banner ads, interstitial ads, or any ad that interrupts your experience without your consent.

When you interact with a rewarded ad, Google AdMob may collect standard ad engagement data including:

• 📱Device advertising ID (if available and not opted out)
• 🕐Approximate time spent in-app (session duration)
• 🌐IP address (used by Google for fraud prevention and basic location inference)

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. We receive only aggregate, anonymous reporting (e.g. total ad impressions). We do not receive any data that could identify you personally.

No health or fitness data recorded in LifeRank is ever shared with AdMob or used for ad targeting.

Section 05

Anonymous usage analytics (webhook)

To understand how LifeRank is used and to improve the app over time, we collect a small set of fully anonymous usage events that are sent to the developer via a private webhook. These events contain no personal information, no health data, and no device identifiers that could be used to identify you.

The events we collect are:

  App opened — a timestamp indicating when a session began. No user identity is attached.
• ⏱️
  Session duration — how long the app was in the foreground during that session, in seconds.
• 📺
  Rewarded ad watched — a flag indicating that a rewarded ad was completed. No information about which insight was unlocked is included.

This data is used solely for understanding general usage patterns (e.g. how often the app is opened, typical session lengths, ad engagement rates) and for improving LifeRank. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or combined with any other data source to identify individuals.

The webhook is a private endpoint operated by the developer. No third-party analytics service is used for this purpose.

Section 06

Google Health Connect (planned integration)

A future version of LifeRank will optionally integrate with Google Health Connect, Android's on-device health data platform. This integration will allow you to sync workout data from other fitness apps into LifeRank and optionally write your LifeRank activity back to Health Connect.

The following Health Connect data types may be accessed, subject to your explicit permission:

  Weight & Height — optionally used to keep your profile in sync

Key principles for Health Connect data:

All Health Connect data read by LifeRank remains on your device. It is never transmitted to us or any third party. You will be explicitly prompted to grant or deny each Health Connect permission. You can revoke permissions at any time through Android Settings → Health Connect → App permissions. LifeRank will never request Health Connect permissions that are not directly necessary for a feature you are actively using.

Health Connect data will not be used for advertising purposes under any circumstances.

Section 07

Home screen widgets (planned integration)

A future version of LifeRank will offer Android home screen widgets that display a summary of your current rank and recent progress directly on your home screen.

Widgets will read data exclusively from LifeRank's local on-device database — the same data you entered yourself. No additional data collection occurs for widget functionality. Widgets do not communicate with any external server or transmit any information off-device.

Section 08

Age rating & children's privacy

LifeRank is rated 16+ on the Google Play Store. The app is not directed at anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect any information from users under 16.

The anonymous usage analytics described in Section 5 (app open events, session duration, ad completion) do not contain any personal data and therefore cannot be attributed to a minor. Your health and fitness data never leaves your device regardless of age.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe someone under 16 has used LifeRank, uninstalling the app or using "Reset All Data" in Settings will permanently remove all locally stored data from the device.

Section 09

Data retention & deletion

Your fitness data persists in the app's local database on your device until you delete it. You have two ways to remove your data:

  Reset All Data — Available in Settings. Permanently deletes all workout logs, body composition entries, your profile, and ranking history from your device. This action is irreversible.
• 🗑️
  Uninstall the app — Uninstalling LifeRank from your device removes all associated local data as part of Android's standard app removal process.

Because we hold no copies of your health or fitness data on any server, there is nothing for us to delete on our end — your device is the only place that data exists.

Anonymous usage events sent via webhook (Section 5) contain no personal data and cannot be linked back to you or your device. They are retained by the developer for app improvement purposes only. Ad engagement data collected by Google AdMob is subject to Google's own retention policies.

Section 10

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data under laws such as the GDPR (European Union), UK GDPR, CCPA (California), or similar frameworks.

Because LifeRank does not transmit or store your personal or health data on any external system, exercising most of these rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) is entirely within your own control through the app's built-in features — you can view all your data inside the app, edit your profile, delete individual entries from the Progress screen, or reset everything in Settings.

For any requests related to AdMob data that Google holds, please contact Google directly or adjust your advertising preferences through Google's account settings.

If you have any questions about your rights or wish to contact us, please use the details in Section 11.

Section 11

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time, particularly as new features (such as Health Connect integration or home screen widgets) are released. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For major changes that affect how data is handled, we will provide notice within the app itself. Continued use of LifeRank after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

The current version of this policy is always available at the URL you are reading now, and is linked from LifeRank's Google Play Store listing.
